From us

When creating a new marketplace, its important to build real relationships with those being served. We’re continuing our commitment to ask open questions from our users and also hold meet ups with those wanting to really influence the platform at this early stage. The support and encouragement has been great again. We’re excited to now implement what we’ve learnt. Here are some things we’ll be rolling out:

1. We’re testing the price at around $16/month which is roughly £10/month

2. We’re building in search functions into the product roadmap

3. We’re working on creating a breakdown of where we’re spending each $ a month marketing the platform. This has been influenced by the amazing transparency at Buffer.

From us

We’re now in beta so check us out. We’ll be buggy so stick with us as we continue to build the marketplace. Its a two sided typical chicken and egg problem but we are seeing some early traction on both the client and illustrator side. We’ll talk more about this over the coming weeks.

Another area we are concerning ourselves with is pricing. We’re testing a few price points and open to criticism, concerns or feedback. We don’t want to set any price in stone as our main aim is to build something of value first whilst also generate income to continue introducing features and market the platform. With this in mind, the first price point would be around £12/month for our UK based illustrators, around $18/month, €16 respectively.

From us

Amazing things have been happening as we build version one of the My next illustrator marketplace. We’ve received interest from some amazing illustrators who have taken the time out to also offer feedback. We’re grateful.

Our goals in launching the platform are becoming clearer; we’re working on 100% transparency as to how we will market the site and where every £ we receive from an illustrator is going each month. We’ll start documenting all of this and more on our blog here whilst also linking you to some amazing work and industry news.
